Purpose and architectural vision

We wanted more than just a showroom. The goal was to create a living space where clients – whether schools, architects, or investors – can see, try out, and experience specific solutions.
We engaged CHYBIK + KRISTOF Architects to design the showroom, giving it a distinctive appearance – both functional and visual. The dominant feature is the facade made of chair seats, which creates not only an iconic silhouette but also a direct reference to the company’s product identity.

„We wanted the showroom’s facade to be more than just an aesthetic gesture; it had to speak the same language as the brand itself. The chairs here are not decoration – they are a message.“

An interior that adapts to people and purpose

Inside the showroom is a clean, adaptable space designed with an emphasis on function, light, and flexibility:

  • Exposed ceiling, visible structural elements, and neutral materials highlight the displayed furniture.
  • Tall curtains allow the space to be divided as needed – you can create an office, meeting room, or a small classroom.
  • Flexible furniture from MY DVA is changed according to current collections and seasons.
Multi-purpose spaces

Showroom as a platform for collaboration and experience

The House of Chairs is more than a showroom. It serves as:

  • A testing environment – customers can touch, rearrange, and compare furniture at different heights, colors, and combinations.
  • A space for consultations – architects and customers discuss designs, plan, and fine-tune details with the MY DVA team.
  • A venue for exhibitions – the showroom also functions as a gallery for paintings, sculptures, and other art installations. Its clean surfaces and modular space layout offer great exhibition potential.

„What we enjoy most is when a team of teachers or architects comes and we transform the space to fit their vision. Here they can realistically try out what they will experience every day.“

Petra Kokešová, showroom manager

What the showroom offers

  • Real situations – no rendered models, but furniture in full operation.
  • Architectural quality – a design that connects functionality and visual communication.
  • Openness to change – a space that never stands still.

In conclusion

The House of Chairs in Brno is more than an exhibition space – it is a living interior, a place of meeting and decision-making. It shows that even a showroom can be architecture with purpose. And when you talk about furniture, the best way is to sit on it.
